ASHRAM: A 15 Day Virtual Sadhana Program
January 8 - January 22, 2021

Ashrama is a way of life that leads to this undistractable, single-pointed focus that frees us from our burdens and sufferings.
To be a part of an ashram, as Svamiji has said, is consenting to undergo disciplines. To refer to Svamiji further, He has stated that a disciple is one who is constantly undergoing self-discipline. So for those who are already well-adapted to self-discipline, being in an ashram should be easy. If not, it can be challenging. Discipline, to state it outright, is not best utilized coming from an external source, but rather works more efficiently when “self-imposed.”  So even though this ashram program will give a schedule, it is still up to one’s own self to align with the disciplines that one feels able to accomplish. The external framework will be supplied, but which parts of the program you would like to do will be up to you.

This program will include daily streamed sessions which will include an opening and closing message and some morning meditations with Sri Svamiji, audio tracks designed for supporting practice and creating a mindful ambiance, group practice and chanting sessions, asana practice, discourse sessions and guidance on Sattvic living and healthy habits to apply during the program.

The Streaming Schedule

All sessions will be recorded and made available the same day for viewing.

Please note this is the preliminary schedule. ​Some minor changes might be made before the start of the program. Sessions will be streamed via Zoom or Youtube live.

Recommended Daily Personal Sadhana Schedule

7-8:30am Morning Yoga & Sadhana
12-1pm Afternoon Sadhana
5-6:30pm Evening Sadhana
9-10pm Late Evening Sadhana

Recommended Guidelines

Eat only freshly prepared, sattvic foods. Eliminate sugar, caffeine and processed foods. You may choose to engage in a fast if it is healthy and safe for you to do so.
Refrain from negative thoughts, speech or actions
Read traditional spiritual texts daily. We will be reading "Practical Wisdom" together. E-book will be made available soon!
Chant Mantra daily
Practice Yoga asana and pranayama daily
Practice meditation and contemplation daily
Take one walk outside daily
Disconnect and refrain from engaging in mindless entertainment, social media and communications

Your contribution supports the ongoing efforts of expanding our program offerings in accordance with Sri Swamiji's Vision of bringing to life the ancient wisdom of Sanatan Dharma through the authentic Vedic teachings, Vedanta, and Yogic practices.
