"You need to be very definite about what you want...Do you want to set your goal high or do you want to remain in the mud of desire?​"

One translation of Lakśya, the root of Lakshmi, is "aim". Mother Lakshmi represents the power of multiplicity, of good fortune, and the embodiment of compassion. As we enter into our time of Diwali celebrations we can take the opportunity to become clear in our aim and goal in life and further deepen our attunement to Divine Love & Knowledge under Sri Swamiji's Grace and Energy.

How to Prepare for the Celebration

"Spirituality is the crown of your life. It is your birthright.
It should be the first priority in your life." 
 Make sure to clear your schedule and create space for yourself to be in full celebration,
​practice and attunement for the duration of Retreat. 


"When you can keep your mind calm, peaceful and strong, this will also enable you to become more focused on your goal." 
 It is recommended to engage in personal practice such as meditation, pranayam, and spiritual reading in preparation for Retreat and during breaks. Get a good night's sleep, eat light and abstain from tendencies and habits that can create heaviness or tamas.

At the time of Diwali, it is tradition to clean and decorate your home with flowers and light
​from oil lamps (or candles) to welcome Mother Lakshmi into your space.

Personal Darshans

There will be an opportunity for Darshan following Retreat via telephone. These 10-minute private Darshans enable all seekers to dive more deeply into the Highest Truth, and receive direct guidance from Sri Svamiji to more fully understand and implement the Teachings in one’s daily life, as well as practical guidance if they have questions. Timings will be scheduled in the days following Retreat.
