SHIVA UPASANA
A 10 Day Virtual Sadhana Program
March 2 - March 11 (Maha Shivaratri), 2021

Shiva is known as the "Auspicious One" and the "Consciousness of Infinite Goodness." When referred to as "the Destroyer" Shiva destroys our ego, our ignorance, our pain and suffering. Shiva is the cause of Enlightenment. Shiva is the Ocean of Nectar that we dissolve into. By remembering the Divine Name we become absorbed in the Bliss of Shiva. We become mesmerized, entranced, and fixed upon the Highest Abode of Supreme Peace, Consciousness, Truth, and Reality.

The term Upasana is composed of two parts: Upa and Asana. Upa means “near to” or “nearing” (getting closer). Asana is referring to ones seat or the position of ones soul (heart and mind), or the act of sitting down or maintaining a fixed attitude and focus on whatever is desired. Shiva Upasana therefore can be considered to be an attempt to “bridge the gap” by uniting the two seeming opposites of self and God... the Consciousness of Infinite Goodness and the seeming separate individuality we refer to as ourselves.
This program offers daily streamed sessions which will include sessions with Sri Svamiji, Q&A sessions, audio tracks and videos designed for supporting practice and creating a mindful ambiance, group practice, chanting & kirtan sessions, pujas, asana practice, discourse sessions and guidance on Sattvic living and healthy habits to apply during the program.
The program closes with a special Maha Shivaratri celebration!
