Sri Svamiji speaks to us at the close of Shravan Maas, the most sacred month of the year to worship Shiva- especially on Mondays. He begins by Guiding us in a meditation that He did many years ago during monsoon time (when rain falls like Amrita). In an expansive talk, Svamiji then explains the origination story of Ganga Ma; the Raksha Bandhan festival (of protection); the importance of the Five Elements (which are considered the doorway to the Supreme); how Kubera learns that he is subordinate to Lakshmi (who is ultimately in control of Cosmic Resources); the importance of Dakshina; the meaning of Sangha; and how Rag/Ragini – Divine Music - evolved from Shiva and Saraswati as an inner and outer practice (and that ParaNadam develops the Rag/Ragini to help people connect to the Supreme).
