On this last day of Pitru Paksh, Sri Svamiji is inspired to speak of those who have left their body and entered into a different realm, like moving from one room to another. Supreme Self is not born, nor does it ever die. It is unborn, eternal, perennial ... not destroyed. It is the body that goes into the five elements, not the Supreme. Svamiji explains how we forget the reality of death and get caught in all the delusion. He describes the life of a close devotee whose body was recently cremated, sharing details about how she lived her life with clear purpose and served the Highest. Then Svamiji speaks of having plans yet being ready to fit into the Greater Plan without anger or trying to force your desires. Svamiji recites the Nirvanashatakam Mantra to remind us of the beautiful essence of life, Chidananda Rupa Sivoham Sivoham. Life is beautiful, life is a celebration!
